Day Trips

Not only the surrounding area of Kamp-Bornhofen is well worth seeing. Various day trips offer a nice diversion:

To the close-by Eifel, for example, with its maars like lake Labach with a Benedictine abbey or to the world-famous Formula-1 circuit, the Nürburgring.

Furthermore, you could go to the Westerwald with its pottery and glass industry.

The Hunsrück, home of Schinderhannes, a famous Robin Hood-like villain of the late 18th and early 19th century, has many beautiful spots near the rivers Nahe and Moselle.

Additionally, the Taunus is always worth a trip. Here you can visit Holzhausen, the birthplace of Nikolaus August Otto, inventor of the homonymous engine.

Endearing cities such as Cologne with the cathedral, the zoo, the Old Town, are well within reach.

Mainz, the Gutenberg city.

Trier with its Porta Nigra oder Limburg with the bishop's see and it's picturesque Old Town.

This is just a small selection of all the things that are waiting to be discovered by you.

We will be happy to assist you in any way we can.

A wonderful and restful holiday in our Hotel Rheinpavillon wishes you

Your family Lothar Weinand and staff.
